McDonalds Motivates

Brandon needs new shoes. I asked the boys if they wanted to go shoe shopping and to McDonalds. Brandon immediately started singing a McDonald's commercial...da da da...and Andrew imitates him. Then I asked Brandon to go get Andrew's shoes for me.
Brandon thought he'd help and just put the shoes on Andrew. Brandon said, "Mom, your baby's feet are growing too big for his shoe. I'm going to get my shoe horn."
Andrew put up with it and cooperated quite nicely. We're off to buy shoes. How much is a reasonable amount to spend on shoes for a 3 yr old?

I love seeing kids helping each other. McDonalds is a huge motivator around here- unfortunately. I wouldn't pay more than about 15$ a pair. Seems like you can't get much for less than that these days.

I say it depends on if you want them to last and look decent for hand-me-downs.

Oh! I loved those pics! They are so sweet to each other.

Me, personally, I don't pay much for the girls' shoes. They don't wear them for long and I know they say in order for their feet to grow correctly that you should buy good, supportive shoes for them. But, come on, I am NOT going to pay 50 dollars for a pair of shoes they are going to wear for less than 6 months! I just bought Delaney's shoes from Payless 2 pair for a little less than 13 dollars!
