Poor little Andrew isn't feeling well. I thought it was probably just teething, but then he started screaming and crying a lot, not eating well (he usually eats and eats and eats), and he had a fever.
I decided to take him to the doctor just to make sure it wasn't his ears or throat...she said his ears and throat look fine.
So what is it? Can teething really make my baby feel this way for so long? It started Wed. afternoon. Today is Sat. and he still has a fever and he can barely keep his eyes open.
He's on teething tablets and
tylenol. Any ideas of how to help my poor little guy?

This is Dr. Kendra speaking but, I'd personally get a second opinion... that's a long time to be having a fever. And if I were you, I'd give him baby Ibuprofen and then 4 hours later give him Tylenol and continue doing that every 4 hours. That will most likely help his fever break. Tylenol alone, in my experience, does not much. Give Andrew a big hug from me.
Poor guy, I hope he's doing better. Foxy was sick this last week and I felt so bad for her, and she's just a dog!
You're going to make me cry. Unfortunaltely I don't have any advice this time. Has Joseph given him a blessing?
I agree w/ what Kendra said about the Ibuprofen. We have found that Ibuprofen works better for breaking fevers than with Tylenol.
I also think that is a long time to have a fever, even w/ teething.
I know that Avery had foot and mouth a couple months ago and that was horrible, high fever, wouldn't eat/drink, very fussy and the only visible sign was sores down the back of her throat and tongue, but if the MD said his throat was fine, I have no idea! Did the doc give you any ideas of what it could be or to come back if he still isn't feeling well. I would also say listen to your mommy's intution, you know Andrew better than any doctor. Hope he feels better quickly. (sorry so long:)
